About Me

Francisco Colón is a student at 'Universidad del Sagrado Corazón' (University of the Sacred Heart) who's currently studying a bachelor's in 3D Animation with a minor concentration in Music Production. He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico & spent most of his childhood & life in the same Puerto Rican municipality. He moved with his mother in 2014 to New York, USA, where he learned to speak English, develop his artistic skills like playing Violin & drawing. Since a child, Francisco has been surrounded by art. From seeing his own father play the guitar while singing a tune to his brother playing the trombone and his mother sewing outfits for his school plays, he began to show an interest & appreciation for art.

From his early years of life, he studied at the YMCA in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where he was taught basic learning skills like speech, writing, & even swimming. Then, later on, when he turned 5 years old, Francisco was signed into the elementary school "Angela Cordero Bernard" where he attended from Kindergarten to Third Grade. In "Angela Cordero Bernard," he kept forming himself as a human, from bettering his speech skills to making connections & friends. After he passed Third Grade, he moved to the Bronx, New York, where he studied in a public school called "P.S. 150 - Charles James Fox," where he kept forming himself and growing like a normal child. He learned reading comprehension skills, met new friends, found out about new cultures, & even developed his English skills. After spending some time in the Bronx, he & his mother moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In that state, he was quickly signed into "Cayuga Elementary School", where he, once again, met new friends and kept growing his knowledge. Later, after passing his Fifth Grade in "Cayuga", he was enrolled in "Esperanza Academy Charter School," where he was introduced to a new environment. In "Esperanza", Francisco began to develop his drawing skills and shape his creativity and artistic imagination. The Puerto Rican child began to meet up with new people, new trends, and new content (such as books & pop culture). "Esperanza" was not just a school, but the beginning of his artistic & personal transformation.

After enjoying his time in the United States, he then moved back to Puerto Rico, to the same municipality he was born in. He continued his second semester in Sixth Grade in a catholic private school called "El Ave María" where he improved his spiritual & religious beliefs. He spent three years in the same catholic school, making friends & memories. He learned normal school teachings with the same classmates, making a special connection with them. After he graduated from Eight Grade, he moved on to a high school called "Escuela Vocacional Bernardino Codero Bernard" where he was enrolled in the workshop of Graphic Design. During his four years of high school, Francisco experienced many different experiences that would help him become the adult & person he is now. During high school, he learned so much knowledge about himself, from his Bisexuality to his creativity and what he could create with different artistic method.

In 2023, during the last semester of high school before graduation, this period was a turning point and an important point in Francisco's life. From heartbreak & crushes to his formation as an adult & artist. Francisco took all of the moments he experienced during this time and took them as life lessons as preparation for his college life. Francisco managed to finally give his original character, Jester, a proper background story & shape/look. He also managed to graduate & receive his diploma. All of the moments Francisco went through, from his birth to the moment he graduated from high school, helped the Latino artist form himself as an adult & artist.

Present day, Francisco is forming himself as a 3D animation & music artist with an entrepreneurship project in development to share with the world his artistic vision, imagination, & skills. Francisco intends to use art as a platform to spread awareness about problematic issues that haunt & hurt us as a society. My mission is to give those who need it a voice & representation so they can feel included in our society. The world is my canvas, and I use it to express my feelings & make other people feel what I feel.

Sending love,

Francisco Colón.

Animator & musician.
